The Importance Of Relationships in Later Life

Wealth is incredibly important when planning for your retirement. It provides the flexibility to enable you to live your best life and removes the stress and worry of not being able to pay your bills.
It is important to remember that money is a means to an end; more wealth doesn’t mean more fulfilment in retirement. According to the Harvard Study of Adult Development, the quality of an individual’s relationships as they age is the largest predictor of longevity and happiness in later life.
So whilst it is important to focus on accumulating wealth during your working life, it is important to also focus on accumulating and nurturing relationships which can often be neglected in middle age as we become so busy with careers and families.
